Alton, MO.--DAVID GEORGE CLOVEN, son of the late Christopher C. Cloven and Mary Johnson Cloven, was born February 10, 1920 in Alton, MO and died June 24, 1998 in Columbia, MO at the age of 78 years, four months and 14 days.

Alton, MO–GEORGIA MAE COTTON, daughter of the
late Griffie and Minnie Baker Barton, was born March 2, 1899 in Alton and died
at 5:10 p.m.
Friday, April 20, 1999 at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO at the age of
100 years, one month and 28 days.
On December 25, 1915, Georgia was married at Alton to Fred E. Cotton. She was a
member of Cave Springs Baptist Church near Alton.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Brewer, Couch, Mo., and Freda Pennewell
and husband, Richard, Florissant, Mo.; five grandchildren, Vicki Fernau,
Columbia, Mo.,
Lisa Thompson and Charles R. Brewer, both of Florissant, Lee E. Brewer,
Edwardsville, IL. and Dan Brewer, Troy, Mich.; and six great-grandchildren,
Alexis Fernau and
Jimmy Fernau, both of Columbia, Brittany Thompson, Florissant, Scott Brewer,
Denmark, Andrew Brewer, Edwardsville and Safe Brewer, Troy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, J. Robert
Barton; and one sister, Leona Crews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 5, 1999 at Cave Springs Baptist Church
in Alton with Revs. Garland Barton, Doyle Williams and Grover Pingleton
officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer. Interment will
be in the Cave Springs Cemetery, Alton.
