Richard Alvin Rhoades Family

Saphronia Agnes Rhoades was born 08 Mar 1871 in Lucerne, Putnam Co., MO to Richard Alvin Rhoades and Yerrina Frances "Rena" Garrett.
Her mother died in childbirth of twin daughters on 08 Apr 1881in Kilbourne, Mason Co., IL. Richard and Rena had six children:
Mary Elizabeth b. 29 Nov 1869 d Jul 1870; Saphronia Agnes b. 08 Mar 1871 d 29 Jul 1980; Lila Isabelle b. 01 Jul 1875 d. 27 Jan 1958; Albert "Rev. Bert" b. 13 Aug 1877 d. 24 Sep 1972 and twins Irene and Chloa stillborn 05 Apr 1881.
Richard married Chloa Melvina Leasure and had five children: Henry Alvin b. 20 Aug 1883 d. 29 Sep 1952; Dora Jane b 15 Mar 1886 d. 17 Feb 1971; Leeta Mae b 11 Jan 1889 d. 13 Jul 1968; Levi Everett b 28 Oct 1891 d. 12 Dec 1973 and Homer Clellan b 26 Oct 1894 d. 04 Dec 1975. Chloa died 07 Oct 1899. Richard married Gabriella Amizette Michael "Gay" (formerly Mrs. Marion F. Wright and Mrs John W. Jones). They had two daughters: Stella Odessa b. 31 Oct 1905 and Opalean Iva b 03 Jan 1907 d. 08 Feb 2005.
Saphronia Agnes "Frone" married Franseway Franklin Leasure 31 Jan 1889 and had six known children: Elizabeth Catherine, Harry Fabin, Sueannie Belle, Hazel, Ethel Elsie and Andrew Arthur. She later married George Thomas Kitchen. Saphronia was the first resident of Shirkey Leisure Acres Rest Home in Richmond, Ray Co., MO, where she lived when she was proclaimed the "Most Senior Citizen of Ray County, MO" at age 108.
