River Landings

Farmville Landing - (North Lexington) was owned by James Allen and was located on the Missouri river, at what is now known as Willow Creek.(1930) A steamboat wharf and warehouse on the north bank of the Missouri river. The first railroad in Missouri was build from Farmville Landing north to Allen's Mill (the Brick Mill), the railroad rails being made of native 4 by 4 oak timbers, laid on ties.
