Though most people call this cemetery Old Christian Union Cemetery, the actual name is Union Cemetery. Orrick Township also has a cemetery named Union Cemetery. I have added (Old) to identify this cemetery is the Union Cemetery located in Polk Township.
Abram Titus donated the land for a cemetery with the stipulation that plots could not be sold, which still remains in effect today. Though there are only a few left. The Cemetery Association has bought land adjoining the existing cemetery for additional cemetery space. Plots will be sold in this area. There is a board that exists and oversees the operation of the cemetery and it is maintained with donation. (2007)
