friends and relatives to know of a certainty the fate of those to whom

WILLIAM ALLEN, from Scott County, MO, died on the 4th of June, of cholera, 50 miles west of Fort Kearny, aged 20 years. We are indebted to the officers of Fort Laramie for this record.") Oran, MO--Funeral service for MISS BARBARA SUE ANDERSON of Oran will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Dennis Bredland and the Rev. Mark McDanial will officiate, with burial in Bernie City Cemetery at Bernie, MO. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. Miss Anderson, 50 years old, died Saturday, Oct 27, 1990, at Chaffee General Hospital. She was born Dec. 30, 1939, at Sikeston, MO, daughter of Walter and Mary Peace Anderson. Survivors include two brothers, Jewell (Cotton) Anderson and Russell Anderson of Oran, and a sister, Doris Pearson of Sikeston. FLOYD ALVIN BRYANT, 62, Benton, Mo., formerly Champaign, Tuesday. --News-Gazette, The (Champaign-Urbana, IL) - January 29, 1998. Cape Girardeau, MO--MRS. BERNICE CARROLL, 419 Bellevue, died today, Feb. 21, 1989, at her home. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Benton, MO--OMA DIAMOND, 69, of Benton, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Arrangements are incomplete at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton. MORLEY, MO - DOROTHY D. HAJAR, 93, of Morley died Aug. 23, 2001, at the Chaffee Nursing Center. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Oran is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete. –Sikeston Standard Democrat, Friday, August 24, 2001 ANOTHER BUD OF PROMISE GONE--On Wednesday morning the Death Angel visited the home of Charles Hodges and wife and took away little CHARLES D. HODGES, age 5 days and 10 hours old. Sometimes we cannot understand why God takes such a precious Jewel from us, but we know that he doeth all things well for them that love him well. We extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones and our heart aches because he has gone, yet we feel that this is just another golden link between here and the Eternal World. --Scott County Citizen, Dec. 11, 1908. HUDSON, Minnie Lee, 84, of Benton, Mo., died Thursday. Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. --Tampa Tribune, The (FL) - May 25, 1999 WINSON HUNT, Scott County, MO, died of lung fever, 10 miles this side of Ft. Kearny, aged 40 years, leaving a wife and 1 child. We are indebted to the officers of Fort Laramie for this record.") DIED--JAMES MORAN, son of Tom Moran, living near Parker Station, on Wednesday, March 4th, 1908, aged about 15 years. The remains were laid to rest in Rocky Branch Cemetery. --Scott County Citizen, March 6, 1908. DIED--HARRIS MYERS, 9 years old, son of W. B. and Cora Myers, on Wednesday, January 29th at their home, south of Oran, of pneumonia. Funeral from their home. The remains were buried in Friend Cemetery east of Oran. They have the sympathy of the Citizen in their sad loss. --Scott County Citizen, January 31, 1908. VERY SAD ACCIDENT--Last Monday afternoon, August 3rd, little PAUL RANDOL, 10 years old, fell from a wagon loaded with melons, the wheels running over him and seriously injuring him internally. He suffered very much until death came to his relief at 11 o'clock Tuesday night. The grief stricken family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad loss. The remains were buried in the Morley Cemetery. --Scott County Citizen, Aug 7, 1908. MISS SADIE SERT, who has been afflicted with consumption since Christmas 1907, died at the home of Mun Sanders, Saturday night, May 9th, about 8:30 o'clock. The remains were taken to Ash Hill Cemetery and buried Sunday afternoon. --Scott County Citizen, May 22, 1908. ROBERT WALKER, Scott County, MO, died June 11th, 100 miles this side of Fort Kearny, aged 36 years, of cholera, leaving a wife, 6 children.
