CLOVERPORT, KY–EARL HALL, 89, of Benton, Mo., formerly of Cloverport, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born in Cloverport and retired as a driver from the State School in Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Velva Hall.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Burial will be in Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

REDDING, CA -- Services for WILLIAM LEROY HARLEY, 73, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.
Mr. Harley died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, at Redding Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1924, in Perkins, Mo., he moved to Shasta County in 1986 from Denver.
He was a sales representative for Hercules Inc. in Wilmington, Del., president of the California Veterans Cemetery Association and the Shasta County Veterans Affiliated Council, a member of the Redding American Legion Post 197, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1934 in Redding, 40 & 8 in Redding and Voltairs in Redding, and a past president of the Lauderback's Fiddlebackers Black Powder Club, all in Redding. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include wife Jo; son Michael of Redding; daughter Patricia Bailey of Redding; brother George Harley of Sunset, Utah; and three grandchildren.

Safety Harbor, FL--HELEN MARSHALL HARTZ, 84, of Safety Harbor, died Thursday (Dec. 17, 1998) at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. She was born in Commerce, Mo., and came here in 1995 from Tallahassee. She graduated from Florida State University in 1948. She taught third grade for 27 years at Caroline Brevard Elementary School in Tallahassee. She was a member of Leon County Teacher's Association and Trinity United Methodist Church, Tallahassee. Survivors include two daughters, Jean H. Beamer, Atlanta, and Marie Louise Hickson, Safety Harbor; a sister, Annabelle Cannon, Farmington, Mo.; two grandchildren, Gregory Alan Beamer, Nashville, Tenn., and Cheryl Lynn Padgett, Manassas, Va.; and two great-grandchildren. Kelso, MO--CLETUS L. HEISSERER, 71, of Richmond Heights, MO, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008.  He was born Feb 2, 1936 at Kelso, son of August and Rosalia Glastetter Heisserer.  He married the former Ernestine C. Klingler.
Heisserer served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956.  He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and its Men's Guild, and was an usher many years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vickie Dickey of Richmond Heights; a son, Michael Heisserer of St. Louis; two brothers, Bernard Heisserer of Kelso, Lawrence Heisserer of Cape Girardeau, Mo; a sister, Rita Eichhorn of Kelso; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today (Jan 12, 2008) at St. Luke the Evangelist Church.  Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.  Kutis Funeral Home Afton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


BESSIE HODGE, 89, of Morley, MO, formerly of Pollard, AR, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born Dec. 5, 1917 in Pollard, daughter of Luther Edgar and Tinna Elizabeth Pollard Evans.  She and Jessie Leeman Hodge were married July 3, 1933.  Survivors include a son, Dairel Hodge of Oran, MO; a daughter, Betty Banks of Morley; a brother, Eugene Evans; two sisters, Louise Cooper and Darlene Potts; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, four brother and a sister.  Friends may call at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 at Hoggard and Sons chapel in Pollard.  Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.  Brian Flannigan will officiate, with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.


JACKSONVILLE, IL –SADIE IRENE HOLUBECK, 84, of Jacksonville died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday at Skyview Manor in Jacksonville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Unity Baptist Church, Benton, Mo., with burial in Pollard Cemetery, Benton, Mo.
Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home, Jacksonville, is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are three sons, Alvin Backues of Linn, Mo., Charles Jones of Steelville, Mo., and Herbert Holubeck of Salem, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Revella) Kasprzyk of Jacksonville; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Parcel of St. Louis, Mo.

Benton, MO--MARY ADA HOPPER, 87, of Benton died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born Aug. 1, 1920 at Morley, MO, daughter of William A. and Mary M. Capps Beggs.  She and Joe Willard "Bill" Hopper were married in 1939.
Hopper was a member of Unity Baptist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a son, Larry Hopper of Benton; a daughter, Mary Beth McIntosh of Benton; a sister, Dorothy Ervin of Arnold, MO; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, eight brothers and two sisters.
The funeral was Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, with the Revs. Dale Huff and Dennis Lowe officiating.  Burial was in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
