 This is to certify that I, Uriel Haw, Minister of the Gospel in the Methodist Episcopal Church did on the 27th day of November 1839, in the County & State of Missouri, Soleminze the rites of Matrimony between JOHN ALTON and SARAH SWANK, according to the laws of the land. Given under my hand this 1st day of February 1840.
