FL--CHARLES
JENNINGS, 74, of Inverness, died Sunday (Dec. 14, 1997) at
home. Born in Vanduser, Mo., he came here 24 years ago from Pembroke
Pines. He was an employee of the Citrus County Park and Recreation
Department and an elder for Jehovah's Witnesses, Inverness. Survivors
include his wife, Mildred Farrow Jennings; a son, Daniel S., Inverness;
three daughters, Sherry L. Smith, Englewood, Maureen F. Jennings,
Lecanto, and Kathy J. Thompson, Floral City; a brother, Wilford L.,
Jackson, Mo.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Frankfort, KY--RON L. JOHNSON, 55, of Frankfort died Friday, April 5, 1996, at his home. He was born in Vanduser, Mo., and had served as Kentucky State Police Commissioner. He had served as part of Wendell Ford's gubernatorial campaign staff and had worked in the governor's office. He had been part of the campaign staff for Henry Ward's and Terry McBrayer's gubernatorial campaigns. He had worked on Tom Harris' campaign staff and had served as the administrative assistant to then-Speaker of the State House of Representatives Julian Carroll. He had also worked as a reporter for the Paducah Sun and the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer. He had been working as a self-employed consultant in government relations. Survivors include his wife, Betsy Johnson; two sons, Michael Johnson of Washington, D.C., and Jeffrey Johnson of Frankfort; a daughter, Suzanne Johnson of Louisville; his parents, Arden and Emogene Johnson of Marshall County; and a brother, Keith Johnson of Marshall County. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Providence Methodist Church Cemetery, Hanson. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. EDT Tuesday at Rogers Funeral Home, Frankfort.
