Lake died Monday (Dec. 3, 2001). Born in Commerce, Mo., he moved to
Lady Lake from St. Louis in 1996. He was a retired retail manager for a
department store and a Baptist. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post 347, Lady Lake. Survivors
include his wife, Delores Rauh of Lady Lake; two sons, Ronald Rauh of
Slidell, La., and Richard Rauh of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Sherry
Abrams of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and seven

FRANCES HELENA COBLE REED,
93, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at Chateau Girardeau
Health Center. She was born June 16, 1914 in Graysville, KY,
daughter of John Thomas and Louisa Bom Coble. She and Clyde
E. Reed were married Dec. 23, 1963 in Benton, MO. He died
Jan. 5, 2007.
A lifelong member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Helena's entire life
born eloquent testimony to her deep and abiding faith. She
had been a cook on riverboats 10 years. She was awarded
Volunteer of the Year for her association with Meals On Wheels in Scott
City. She was a member of Commerce Better Community Club.
She is survived by three sons, Clyde E. Reed, Jr. and wife Fran of Big
Canoe, GA, Odis R. Reed and wife Gloria of Houston, TX,
Rodger D. Reed and wife Connie of Jackson, MO; two daughters, Patricia
J. LeGrand and husband Maurice of Houston, Susan E. Bond and husband
Jay of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Coble of CA; 12 grandchildren;
19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Virgil Lee
Norton; a brother; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons
Mount Auburn Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Morris officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
SIKESTON, MO--
JULIA RENFRO, 100, a resident of Sikeston, died February 28, 2009 at the home of her daughter.
She was born March 28, 1908 in Okolona, Mississippi to the late Walter
and Bessie Jane Randle Edwards and had lived in Missouri for over 80
years.
She was a retired cook and a member of West End Missionary Baptist
Church where she served as an usher and Sunday School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lexa Nixon, J. D. Renfro and
Sylvester Williams and two children, Flo Spence and Michael Gibson.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Everett and
Betty Nixon of St. Louis, Oblenis and Flo Gipson of St. Joseph, MI and
Arthur Renfro of Sikeston; three daughters and one son-in-law, Bessie
Renfro of Chicago, Syletta and Larry Williams and Everlean Brown of
Sikeston; 28 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 11 great great
grandchildren.
Friends called Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 12:00 until the funeral
hour of 1:00 P. M. at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in
Sikeston with Rev. L. L. Williams officiating. Interment followed
in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

CARL F. RHODES,
74, of 301 E. Wall St., Lexington, a construction laborer, died at 2:48
a.m. yesterday (March 17, 1993) at his residence. He had been ill.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Musselman-Beck Funeral Home,
Lexington, the Rev. Dennis Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in
Lexington Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Rhodes was born March 6, 1919, in Vanduser, Mo., the son of Claude
and Leona Smith Rhodes. He married Irene Crump Aug. 21, 1943, in
Lexington. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth S. Lockenvitz, Lexington;
one sister, Gertrude Armstrong, Lexington; and two grandchildren.
A brother and sister preceded him in death.
He was a member of Church of Christ, Uniting, Lexington, and was a
member of Laborers Local 362 for 30 years. He retired in 1981 because
of disability.

89, of Westminster died March 5. Services were March 8, with burial at
Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Richards was born in Benton, Mo., on May 31,
1906. She married Carl Richards, 1931. She was a member of Eastern Star
Loyalty Chapter 145.
Survivors include son Charles of Cedardale; daughter Joyce Miller of

and Mary Harding Royal and wife of the late Stanley Riley Sr.

Church, Orlando. He was a member of the Camelia Society of Central
Florida, American Camelia Society, and the Pine Castle Center of the

NORVAL NICHOLAS ROBERT, 71, died at 7:50 a.m. Sept. 21, 2001, in Greenville.
Born Dec. 11, 1929, at Kelso, son of Martha Catherine Westrich Robert
of Benton and the late Nicholas Henry Robert, he was a boiler
technician for St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and member
of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
On Oct. 7, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, he married Elvie Lee Robison who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one son, Thomas
Robert of Scott City; one daughter, Marian Ellis of Scott City; one
brother, Melvin Robert of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Martha Hamm of
Benton; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel
in Scott City, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery.

GEORGE WILLIAM ROBINS, 73, died Nov. 4, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 5, 1928, in Palestine, Ark., son of the late Ullit and Martha
Shaford Robins, he was a member of the SEMO Beagle Club and retired as
a machine operator for the Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Joliet, Ill.
On July 27, 1989, he married Ersell Hathcock who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Michael Robins of Auburn, Ga.; one
stepson, Lyndell Greenlee of Bullhead, Ark.; four stepdaughters, Bonnie
Haney of Chaffee, Melba Valerza of Kankakee, Ill., Martha Berry of
Aroma Park, Ill., and Tereasa Clodi of Clifton, Ill.; five sisters, Sue
Kent of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Faylene Cantu of Fresno, Calif., Lana
Barringar of Princeton, Ill., Anna Givens of Allenville and Judy Lackey
of St. Ann, Ill.; and two grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren and five
stepgreat-grandchildren.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in
Chaffee where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday with the
Rev. Kenneth Harp officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
