Panacea, FL--BETTY UNSELL VAIL, 62, of Panacea died Friday. The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
A native of Vanduser, Mo., she had lived in Panacea since 1988. She was a member of the Mission by the Sea in Alligator Point.
She is survived by her husband, Walter K. Vail of Panacea; a son, Kenneth Lance Vail of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Joye Sherlock of Tallahassee; three brothers, William Russell Unsell of Clearwater and Bobby L. Unsell and James Paul Unsell, both of Alligator Point; and two grandchildren.

OSCEOLA, AR - MAUDE LILLIAN VAUGHN, 86, homemaker, died of heart failure Saturday (Mar 9, 1996) at Osceola Nursing Home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Roller-Swift Funeral Home with burial in Bassett Cemetery. She was born in Scott County, Mo., and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Ms. Vaughn leaves five daughters, LaVerne Davison of Osceola, Peggy Webb of Memphis, Deverlan Moreland of Camano Island, Wash., Carol McIntosh of Weiner and Linda Dawson of Blytheville; five sons, Clarence Medlin of Wilson, Winston Vaughn of Haven, Kan., and Orval Vaughn Jr., Jouy Vaughn and Touy Vaughn, all of Rochester, Ind., 35 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.   --Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - March 11, 1996


Holiday, FL--ELMO J. VERDEYEN, 72, of Holiday, died Wednesday (Oct. 5, 1988) at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa. Born in Oran, Mo., he came here from Gary Ind., and was a retired senior inspector for U.S. Steel-Tube Works. He was a Catholic, a member of the Elks Lodge, Tarpon Springs, the Eagles Aerie, New Port Richey, and the Moose Lodge Palm Harbor. Survivors include his wife, Eileen; a daughter, Carol Goodman, Valparaiso, Ind.; three sisters, Emma Ashby and Mary O'Brien, both of Hobart, Ind., and Frances Robinson, Ypsilanti, Mich.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bloomington, IL--CAROLYN SUE (HAYDEN) VINSON, 50, of Vanduser, Mo., the mother of Philip Vinson, Bloomington, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday (Dec. 8, 1995) at the Missouri Delta Medical Center, Sikeston, Mo. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home, Charleston, Mo. Sisters Geneva Keith and Trish Eskew and the Rev. Marvin Graham will officiate.
