Hopper Cemetery
Located in Shelby County
4 miles north and one mile west of Clarence, Missouri - near the Shelby and
Macon County line.
James T. Hopper owned the first farm west from the cemetery on the same side of
the road. He was in Adams County, IL in 1839 and moved to MO c. 1856
The area became known as the "Hopper Community, and used to have a Hopper School
near the cemetery, as well as a church.
