HOLD MEMORIAL FOR W. J. WHITE AT SHELBINA
SHELBINA, Mo., Oct. 2—Final rites for William J. "Uncle Billy" White, Shelbina citizen who died at his home here Monday morning were held from the Christian church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives.
The service was conducted by Rev. Roy Blalock, pastor of the church, and a hymn was sung by a quartet composed of Miss Lois Rogers, Mrs. Roy Blalock, Harry J. Libby, Jr., and E. H. Ralls. Pallbearers were Hurley Parsons, Virgil Alexander, Glennon Ridgeway, Lloyd Adams, Homer Fletcher, and Frank Welch, while Mrs. Corine Peoples, Mrs. Charles Daniel, Mrs. John Wright, Mrs. George Bedwell, Mrs. E. H. Ralls and Mrs. Hurley Parsons were flower bearers.

Robert Powell
CLARENCE, Mo., Oct 2 - Robert Powell, for years a resident of the Maud vicinity, father of Orville and Oscar Powell of south of this city, died at 11:45
a. m. Tuesday in Furnish hospital at Shelbina, where he was taken Sunday night when he suffered an acute attack from stomach ulcers.
He had been in ill health for several months. Born 73 years ago in south Missouri, he was reared in Benton county, where he married and made his home until after his wife's death about 20 years ago. With his family of five children he then moved to Shelby county, settling in the Maud vicinity.
Surviving relatives are three sons and two daughters. Orville and Oscar Powell of south of Clarence; Ed Powell of Iowa; Mrs. Mertie Leftridge of near Maud: and Mrs. Edgar Dye of near Lentner. He also leaves one brother, Ed Powell, and 7 grand-children. One sister. Mrs. Capp of Clarence, preceded him in death.
The body was removed to the Brothers, Million and Barke?e funeral home to be prepared funeral and late Tuesday night was taken to the Orville Powell home south of here. Funeral services will be held Thursday, probably in the afternoon, from the Union Chapel church south Clarence, and burial will be in church cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah V. Cadwell Of Shelbina, Mo., Dies in Hannibal.
Hannibal, Mo., April 2 – Mrs. Sarah V. Cadwell, wife of George W. Cadwell of near Shelbina, Shelby county, died at the Levering hospital at 6:10 o'clock yesterday morning, aged 40 years and 5 days. She was brought to Hannibal and placed in the hospital a few days ago, where she was operated on. So far as the operation was concern, it was very satisfactory, but complications developed which resulted in her death. Her husband was present at her bedside when she passed away. The body was conveyed to the Sievers undertaking establishment and prepared for burial and at 5:40 yesterday afternoon it was placed on board the Burlington train for Shelbina. The funeral services will be held at the family home in Shelby county tomorrow morning.

Olin W. Clark
Olin W. Clark, 93, of 150 E. Adams St., Rushville, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on Sunday, September 8, 1912 in Hunnewell, MO. He was the son of the late Samuel W. and Helen Baird Clark. He married Eva Mae
Waller December 11, 1935 in Decatur, IL. She passed away September 15, 1988.
Surviving are four sons, Richard Clark & wife Betty of St. Charles, IL, Alan Clark & wife Eileen of Glenview, IL, Terry Clark & wife Joyce
of East Peoria, IL, James Clark & wife Marsha of Ballwin, MO; five grandchildren, David & wife Sheila Clark, Michael & wife Connie Clark,
Gary Clark, Cheryl Averill & husband Bill, Christina Clark; seven great grandchildren, Katherine and Zachery Averill, Sean and Joshua Clark,
Casey, Caylin and Chanler James; several nieces, nephews and many neighbors and friends including a dear friend from youth, Helen Stewart.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lee Clark, three brothers, Charlie, Emmett and Vincil, four sisters, Lottie Boyd, Edna Hoxworth,
Callie Jennings, and Lotus Wortsman.
As an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Rushville and Booster Sunday School class, he was a Sunday School teacher and held
many other roles there over the years; he was a former member and Past President of the Rushville Rotary Club, and was a former Boy Scout
Leader. He worked for Jennings Dairy, Bushnell, IL until 1940 and then was the Bushnell School Janitor one year after which he worked for the
C.B.&Q. Railroad 35 years retiring as a Depot Agent in 1977. He was a skilled craftsman, making many pieces of furniture and home crafts in
his woodworking shop and excelled in making fly fishing lures. Olin was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and playing bridge with his friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Arnold officiating.
Interment will be in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Worthington Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church.

Olin W. Clark
Olin W. Clark, 93, Rushville, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at the Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 8, 1912, in Hunnewell, Mo., the son of the late Samuel W. and Helen (Baird) Clark. He married Eva Mae Waller Dec. 11, 1935, in Decatur. She preceded him in death Sept. 15, 1988.
He is survived by four sons, Richard (Betty) Clark, St. Charles, Alan (Eileen) Clark, Glenview, Terry (Joyce) Clark, East Peoria, and James
(Marsha) Clark, Ballwin, Mo.; five grandchildren, David (Sheila) Clark, Michael (Connie) Clark, Gary Clark, Cheryl (Bill) Averill, and Christina
