H. V. Pope of Anniston and Miss Nettie Hunt of DeLassus were married March 9th, at the Stegler Hotel, in Cairo, Ill. Mr. Pope is a leading merchant of Anniston and Miss Hunt is the charming daughter of W. B. Hunt, a highly respected citizen of this county. She was on a visit to her sister in Mississippi county, and her marriage is quite a surprise to her friends here, but they all wish her much happiness. Smith - McCormick
Farmington, Mo., Dec. 25. Judge Harold Howard Smith of Taloga, Okla., and Miss Gertrude McCormick were married here at 8 o'clock Monday evening. The bride is a granddaughter of the late General J. R. McCormick, who represented the Third Missouri district in congress. Judge Smith is a native Missourian. He was elected circuit judge of Dewey county, Oklahoma, last November. After a visit in Chicago, Judge and Mrs. Smith will go to Taloga to reside.
