QUICK, Brother J E departed this life for the life to come, in Montgomery Co, Mo, 28 Oct 1877. He was born in St Louis Co, 12 Nov 1812, and was married to Sophia Williams, 1 July 1832...He taught his children to love preachers...I made his acquaintance in 1848, in Linn Co., Mo. I was his pastor on my first circuit...Bro A Quick, of Carrollton, used to meet me at the gate and take my horse Most of his family are in heaven. -WE Dockery

Dated 7 Jan 1875 Margaret Quigley, aged about 40 years, and said to be an old work-house character, was run over and killed on the Iron Mountain Railroad near Meramec Station (in St. Louis Co.,) on the 29th.

Honora QUIRK, Died On Sunday May 2, at 13:30 a.m.
Relative of the late John Quirk and mother of Mary Katie Nellie and Conne Quirk and sister of Jerimiah and Con. McCarty and Mrs. J. Sheridan.
Funeral from family resd. 2330 Division St. on Tuesday, May 4 at 9 a.m. to Bridget's Church thence to Calvary Cemetery.
Friends are respectfully invited.
