VESTAL, Jasper Olen b. 13 Oct 1886 near Sidney, Putnam Co., MO to Eve and Elizabeth (Stivers) Vestal and d. 15 Sep 1973 Milan, Sullivan Co., MO. 
He married Rosa Delphine Jones 25 Nov 1907 Unionville, Putnam Co., MO, who preceded him in death on 31 July 1964.
Also preceding him in death was a daughter Neva (Mrs. Martin Shaver 03 Feb 1970) and a grandson, Bobbie Lee Vestal 1939. 
He is survived by: Ovid and Mrs. Glen (Elizabeth) Rhoads of Green City, Bennie of Kirksville; four brothers: Dent of CA,
Jeptha (Bunt) of Green City, Bennie of CO, Charlie of CA and two sisters: Mrs. Leo Broyles of Newton, IA and Mae Rolfe of Zillah, WA. 
Jasper Vestal was buried Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Catherine Summers Valdrez, 75, Kansas City, MO, a former resident and telephone operator of Osgood, Sullivan Co., MO died Sunday at the Downtown Hospital in Kansas City, MO following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were conducted at Payne Funeral Home in Galt, Grundy Co., MO with the Rev Gene Berry, pastor of Rural Dale Baptist Church officiating.  Burial was in the Newtown Cemetery.

 

Mrs Valdrez was born 20 Nov 1897 at Mystic, IA to John Jones and Gay Michael. She was married first to Marion Summers who preceded her in death.  On 06 July 1953, she married Jose Valdrez.  Survivors include her husband Jose of the home, one son, Charles Hill of Cantrill, IA; three sisters: Mrs. J.W. Peters of Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Tilla Russell of Trenton, MO and Mrs. Stella McKern of Princeton, MO and one brother, Cecil Jones of Trenton, MO.
