Liberty Church and School was the 2nd church organized in Texas County.
It was organized 1848. A building was erected in 1857 just outside of the cemetery.
For almost 100 years the church held monthly meetings, serving the communities between Turley and Plato.

This is the second or newer Liberty Church.
It sets close to the old
one and next to the graveyard. It is used for funerals only.
