Excellent Corn Bread

1 cup of corn meal
1 cup  of good flour
1 cup of sweet milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon of sugar
2  teaspoons of Dooley's Yeast Powder
Mix with the meal and flour while  dry.

Kneaded Biscuits

Put two teaspoonfuls of Dooley's Yeast Powder in a quart of flour;  rub into  this two tablespoons of lard, with a little salt, and add enough sweet milk to  make a stiff dough.  Knead well for five or six minutes, roll thin, cut into  biscuits, and bake a delicate brown.

Waffles

One quart sweet milk, three small teaspoonful Dooley's Yeast Powder, a little  salt, five eggs, the yolks and whites beaten separately, a small cup of melted  butter.Mix the yeast powder with the flour while dry.
