F. H. Holton, storekeeper for the Great Northern at this station, has been promoted to a similar position at Wilmar, on the Breckenridge division.
Archie Stone, conductor of the western run of the Great Northern, will soon remove his family to Havre for greater convenience, engineer Davidson will remove to Williston for similar reasons.
Lee Cook, who has been visiting relatives In the south for the past month or more has returned to Glasgow.
Mrs. George Herron has returned to Glasgow after a months visit with relatives in town.
The steel bridge which the Great Northern is erecting across the Milk River at this place will be completed in a few days.
Walter Hubble has been arrested at Malta charged with highway robbery. It is alleged that last week he woke up the Great Northern agent at Saco, and, holding a revolver to his head, made him dig up the contents of the till. The latter amounted only to a few cents Hubble has been bound over to the district court.
H J Rutter of Hinsdale and Miss Elsie Clough of Glasgow were married at the home of the bride's parents in the latter place by the Rev Father Eberschweller on Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. John Dillard stood up with the bridal pair, and only the immediate relatives and a few friends were present .At the conclusion of the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served by Mrs. Clough. Mr. and Mrs. Rutter will reside at Hinsdale

It is reported from Saco that a crowd there exchanged a number of shots one day this week, but no one was injured.
Frank Biman has purchased the Smith property on the north side of the railway track and will reside there.
Mrs. R. H. McNeill and her son, Robert, have gone to Minneapolis, where they intend to reside hereafter.
Walter Shanley is in the East purchasing young stock to turn out on the range this summer He intends to obtain several carloads.
A wrecking crew of about 200 men is engaged along the track of the Great Northern near Malta.
Mr and Mrs. John Davidson, lately married in Minneapolis, have arrived from the East and have taken up their residence in town Miss Schoonovor, a sister of Mrs. Davidson, is their guest.
W. W. Mabee has purchased two car-loads of dogies from Minnesota and will devote his time to stock raising.
The session of the district court has been postponed in consideration of the smallpox epidemic.
Judge Kent has returned to Glasgow after an absence in the Klondike. He believes that there is gold in the Copper River country, but that It will take considerable capital to get It out. The Judge will remain in Glasgow.
Charles Hurd has gone to Dillion to close a deal for a large band of horses to be driven overland to Glasgow.

A census has been taken of this town, which shows a number of residents sufficient to warrant incorporation. The county commissioners have accordingly ordered that a special election be held upon July 11 to decide whether Glasgow be or be not incorporated
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Avery of Saco are happy over the birth of a girl baby to them this week.
Mike Healy, who for the past five years has been section foreman for the Great Northern at Saco has been transferred to Montauk, where he will have charge of the extra gang.
Mrs., Harry Rutter, county superintendent of schools. Is making an official visit to Glasgow schools and during her stay is the guest of her sister, Mrs. John Dillard.
Mrs. George Gebhard and family left this week for St. Paul, where they will spend a month with relatives.
Mrs. Barney Lantry returned this week from her visit in the West and left shortly after for Chinook, where her husband is now employed.
Mrs. Thomas Cloone is visiting friends In Minneapolis and is also receiving medical treatment there.
Frank Shanley has resigned his position with the railway and has sold his Glasgow property. He expects to go down to Nashua to his ranch and engage In the business of stock raising.
A large number of the friends of Miss Sophia Pierson gave her a party this week in the parlors, of the Coleman house.
Sheriff Conatser and his deputies took a trip up the Big Muddy from Culbertson this week looking for a band of stolen horses. They recovered about 25 ,head and it is thought that the thieves , who rendezvous near the Canadian border, have succeeded in getting away with the remainder.
The death of Jack Button is reported from Minneapolis. For many years he was a fireman on this division of the Great Northern and was well-known throughout this section.
S. P. Mitchell, the county Commissioner, is contemplating a trip back to his old home In Missouri this fall He has been away for the past 10 years.
This session of the district court met on Monday. The calendar is very light this time, there being but two criminal cases on the docket.

(News Article) Date: 1901-06-15; Paper: Anaconda Standard Young Boy Murdered near Glasgow Body of a 10-Year-Old-Lad Found on the Missouri with His Skull Crushed In
Great Falls, June 14 —A special to this city from Glasgow to-day tells of another gruesome tragedy in that
vicinity. The victim this time being a boy, supposed to have lived at Hinsdale, and who was found on the ninth
point of the Missouri south of Glasgow murdered by having his head crushed in.
The boy was about 13 years of age and had met death from a fracture of the skull, evidently caused from a
blow Inflicted with a blunt Instrument. The boy had been dead several days when found and the Identification
was not complete, except that, from a letter upon his person, he is supposed to be Harry Drabbs, son of a
resident of that name at Hinsdale, A few days ago another boy was seen near Glasgow with the horse which
had been ridden by young Drabbs, and he Is being looked for as the suspected murderer, but there are but
few clues as to his Identity or whither he has gone.
