NO, Yellowstone Park is NOT in Yellowstone County.
What IS in this county is Yellowstone River, which bisects the county from southwest to northeast, and which has
its headwaters in Yellowstone Park.
Apparently this county is named after the river, and not the park.
The Montana parts of Yellowstone park are in Park County and Gallatin County.
The majority (53%) of the park lies in Park County, Wyoming, with other sections in Teton County, Wyoming and Fremont
County, Idaho.
Now that this is cleared up, here's info on Yellowstone County, Montana:
Founded: 1883
Seat: Billings
Largest city: Billings
This is the most populous county in Montana, and the fastest growing county as well - with a projected population
growth of 32 percent by 2025.

We're looking to add the transcribed data from the vital records, biographies from the county histories as well
as the county history information itself, transcriptions of obituaries, burial data from cemetery trompings and/or
readings, the data from military pensions and other service records; enumerations from census years, any newspaper
gleanings for the family members including birth announcements, marriage announcements, death notices/obits and
anything in between - in short, the data you used to build your family tree (rather than the tree itself since
we don't have the space or manpower to accept gedcoms and trees)
