3 Oct 1822. THOMAS BAILIFF and POLLY of Chatham County, NC, sells 18 acres on the waters of Rocky River to John Burke of Chatham County, NC. This was POLLY BAILIFF’S share of the estate of her father Milliner Burke. Her mother was Mary Burke. John Burke brought the above deed into court and it was proven by the oath of Thomas Steel.
