State of North Carolina.-GRANVILLE County,-Court of Equity, Spring Term, 1841
Michael Riggins, Admr. and others.
vs.
Thomas Howerton, Ex'r and others.
It appearing to the Court that the Defendants, Edmund Vaughan, Richard H. Walker, and wife Nancy, John Vaughan, Viceroy Tunstall, and wife Polly, James Campbell and wife Sally, Moses Christenbury, and A.L. Martin, Executor of James Vaughan, are not inhabitants of this State, but reside beyond the jurisdiction of the Cour: It is therefore ordered by the Court, that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Raleigh Register for the said Defendants to appear at the Court, to be held at the Court House in the Town of Oxford, on the first Monday of September next, and plead, answer or dmur to the Plaintiff's bill, or else the said bill will be taken as confessed by the party or parties failing to do so, and be heard ex parte as to such party or parties.
Witness, Thomas B. Littlejohn, Clark and Master of said Court, the 1st Monday of March 1841.
