Edd Reece
Marshall - Faith became sight when Judson E. Reece Edd, 73, of 511 Hunter Creek Rd., entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 8, 2008. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judson and Vertie Fender Reece; sister, Nola Barry; and brothers, McKinley, Richard, and Perry.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Virginia Faye Messer Reece, of the home; daughter, Shirley R. Hyatt and husband, LaMarr, of Weaverville; sons, Richard and wife, Kathy, of Mars Hill, and Roger and wife, Tammy, of Marshall; Papaw's grandchildren, Lindsey Kerns, Britt and Ryan Reece, LaReese', Chaynna, and Chayse Hyatt and Allison Reece; great-grandchildren McKinzie, Alex, and Peyton; sister, Coleen Ball; brothers, Bart and wife, Ann, and Frank and wife, Jackie; numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member having served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and choir member. The Revs. Gerald Sprinkle, Jim Pruett and Britt Reece will officiate. Burial will follow in the Runnion-Rice Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Madison Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home, 511 Hunter Creek Rd.
