In Edenton, NC, a Mr. Sanders was murdered by his brother, by repeatedly stabbing him. They were returning from a Probate Court, and the quarrel was on account of an unequal division of property by their father's will.

Deceased Name: Loma Ballard Davis

Ms. Davis, 86, of 8709 Old Plank Rd., died January 13, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was a native of Charlotte and the daughter of John & Minnie Morris Ballard.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Carothers Funeral Home Mt. Holly. Burial will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Carothers Funeral Home, Mt. Holly.

Survivors include children Betty Anderson of Beaufort, SC, Leon Davis of Charlotte, Judi Warlick of Kings Mountain, Darlene Little if McConnels, SC and Carol Eudy of Kings Mountain; sister Dot Bready of Charlotte; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy H. Davis, parents, 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Rev. Richard Little and Allen Marsh will officiate.
