Thelma Q. Bailey, 95, of Hamlet, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born April 27, 1913 in Marlboro County, SC, a daughter of the late B.R. and Della Simmons Quick.
She was the oldest living member of Saint Peter United Methodist Church in Hamlet.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Superintendent Rev. Leonard Fairley and Lay Leader Joe Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mary Love Cemetery.
Surviving, a sister, Mary Alice Miller of Bennettsville, SC. Special nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Also special extended family Jane Clark and husband Jerry of Hamlet, Sylvia Ballard and husband Ron of Rockingham and Helen Peele of Hamlet.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet is serving the Bailey family.
