In the Name of God Amen. I, Thomas Whitehurst, Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, being Weak in Body, but of Sound Mind, Memory and Understanding, Do make and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in Writing, in Manner and Form, following, that is to say:
First, I Desire that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences be first Discharged.
Also, I Give and Bequeath the Sum of fifty pounds, Lawful money of Great Brittain, belonging to me in the hands of my Agent, Mr. George Marsh, of Savage Gardens, Tower Hill, London, unto William Grenfell Lobb, Youngest Son of Jacob Lobb, Esquire, Commander of his Majesty's Sloop, the Viper.
Also, I Give and Devise all that peice of Land, Commonly known by the Name of Styles Copp, within Six Miles of the Town of Stafford, in the County of Stafford, in the Kingdom of Great Brittain, (Subject to a Lean made from me unto my Uncle, John Whitehurst), unto My Sister, Ann Whitehurst, her Heirs and Assigns for Ever.
And Whatever Estate, Real and personal, not heretofore bequeathed, I dye Possessed of; I Give, Bequeath and Devise unto my said Dear Sister, Anne Whitehurst, her Heirs and Assigns for Ever.
And I do hereby publish and Declare this to be my last will and Testament and appoint my said Sister, Executrix and the said Jacob Lobb, Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby Revoking all other wills by me heretofore Made,
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty second day of March, in the year of our Lord, One thousand, Seven hundred and Sixty five.

Then personally Appeared before my Thomas Cobham, one of the .subscribing; Witnesses to the foregoing Will, and Made Oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, that he saw Thomas Whitehurst, sign, seal and Publish the foregoing as and for his last Will and Testament; and that the said Thomas Whitehurst was at the same Time (to the best of His knowledge and Belief) of a sound and disposing Mind and Memory, and that he, the said Thomas Cobham, together with John Eustace, and Thomas McGwire, subscribed their Names as Witnesses thereto in the Presence of the Testator.
