The Old Folks At Home
Some of Nebraska's Centenarians who still live and have their being
Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, February 28 - (Special Correspondence of the World Hearld)
Father H. M. McClintock, perhaps the oldest man in Cedar precinct, will celebrate his 87th birthday April 28 next.
He was born in Pennsylvania. He removed in early life to Indiana and, after twenty-one years residence in that state, emigrated to Wisconsin and lived there thirty years. He has been residing in this neighborhood eight years.
His general health is good and eyesight little dimmed. He is the father of eleven children, eight living and three dead, forty-two grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren, who are growing up to perpetuate his name and memory. For such patriarchs, having stood the storms and battles of almost three generations, we have the most profound respect. One son, H. M. McClintock, Jr., is a prominent farmer
near. Six grandsons also reside in town. He is a good republican.
