Cherry County is one of 93 counties in Nebraska.
It is located on the northern border of the state.

It was named for Lieutenant Samuel A. Cherry, a popular
army officer who was stationed at Fort Niobrara and was
killed in South Dakota in 1881.  

Its county seat is Valentine.

Bennett County, South Dakota, Todd County, South Dakota, Tripp County, South Dakota,
