Hall County is one of the oldest in the state, having been organized in 1859.  It is located in the sixth tier of counties west of the Missouri River and about one hundred and fifty miles west of Omaha.  It is bounded on the north by Howard, east by Hamilton and Merrick, south by Adams and west by Buffalo.
