January 27, 1899
John C. Hefner of Illinois,
aged 54 and Kittie [Hettie] J. Douglas
of Franklin,
aged 34, were on Wednesday licensed to wed. Mrs. Douglas is a daughter of C. B.
Moore of this city.
Rev. Chrysler
of Arapahoe on Wednesday performed the ceremony which united John C. Hefner and Mrs. Kittie [Hettie] Douglas in marriage. A
merry company of friends gathered at the home of George Harvey to witness the
event.
John E. Geist, aged 22 and Clara Alivine, aged 27, both of Oxford have been licensed
to wed.

May 5, 1899
Theo Seyler, son of Rev. Theo Seyler,
and Miss Emma Gipe, daughter of
Miller Gipe, were united in marriage, Wednesday, May 3, 1899, at the home of
the bride’s parents south of Alma.
Rev. Theo Seyler performed the ceremony at twelve o’clock, noon, in the
presence of the immediate relatives of the families. A wedding repast was
served.
Willis M. Short, aged 24, and Miss Maggie Littler, of St. Paul, Kansas, were licensed to wed by Judge
Everson, on April 28.
Gavin Murray, aged 29, of Orleans and Miss Alta
Essick, aged 20, of Orleans,
were licensed to wed on May 1, 1899.
Albert P. Morgan, aged 24, and
Miss Alma E. Abraham, aged 20, both
of Orleans,
were united in marriage May 3, 1899, by Judge Everson.

December 20, 1901
John W. Gipe and Miss Opal C. Leake on the 5th day
of December 1901, were united in marriage by Judge Miller.
This is a young
couple residents of Prairie
Dog Township.
They are both excellent young people and belong to some of the best families in
that township.
