Hitchcock County, Nebraska

Hitchcock County was named in honor of Phineas W. Hitchcock,
who was United States Senator from Nebraska
at the time of its organization.

It is located in the southwestern part of the state.

Culbertson is the county seat, it got its name
from the well-known Indian Agent.
