Immanuel Lutheran Church is located in Section 14, Plymouth Precinct. From Fairbury go north on Hwy 15 to Hwy 4 east, turn east and go past Plymouth about 1 1/2 miles, then turn north on 580th Ave. The cemetery is just north of the intersection of Hwy 4 & 580th Ave on the northeast corner.
This cemetery is maintained and fenced. The church that used to be here was organized April 15, 1903 and held it's last service on June 17, 1984. A monument holding the church bell sits in front of the cemetery. On the back of the monument is listed the charter members of the Immanuel Lutheran School: Heinrich Niemeier Sr, Johann Wieting Sr, George Heinrich Schneider, Henry Diekmann Sr, Wilhelm F Bersche, George Barthel, August Altenburg, William Scherling, Jacob Seitz, George W Buchmeier, Konrad Riedel, John Seitz, and John Wieting Jr. The school was open from 1903-1957.
