Addazetta Dunbar

Mrs. W.D. Dunbar died last Friday Aug. 18th at her home on Silver Creek, south of Fairbury, after many years suffering from stomach and heart trouble.

Addezett A. Moore was born in Jefferson county, Ohio March 11, 1846.

She was married to W.D. Dunbar in 1867. To the union 12 children were born, three having died in infancy, the others being Rhoda Rheinke of Thompson, Eliza Gaston, Hebron, Rachel Wilson, Endicott, Katie Mahoney, Fairbury, Cora Gaston, Belvidere, W.M. Dunbar, Hebron, Frank, William, Roy at home.

Funeral services were held at the Silver Creek church conducted by Rev. Orrill and the remains interred in the cemetery at the church.

Westley Francis Dunbar

Westley Francis Dunbar, son of Mr. W.D. Dunbar, was born Sept. 24, 1885 and died April 3, 1908 aged 22 yrs, 6 months and 9 days.

He has been in poor health for some time. The family were ready to move to Hooker county, Nebraska when the death occurred.

He leaves to mourn his departure a father, two brothers and six sisters as follows, Mrs. Rhoda Reinceke, Fairbury, Neb.; Mrs. Eliza Gaston, Gilead, Neb.; Mrs. Rachel Wilson, Endicott, Neb.; Mrs. Catharine Mahoney, Fairbury, Neb.; Mrs. Cora Gaston, Hebron, Neb.; Miss Ray Dunbar, Mullen, Neb.; W.T. and Killham Dunbar of Mullen, Neb.

The funeral services were held from the Silver Creek church, Rev. W.T. Cline officiating. The interment took place in the Silver Creek cemetery.

William Dunbar

William DeFord Dunbar was born April 13, 1884 in Carroll county, Ohio and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Rinecka, 9 miles southwest of Fairbury, Feb. 3, 1912, aged 67 years, 9 months, and 20 days. He was married in Jefferson county, Ohio to Miss Adazetta Morre, March 14, 1867. To this union were born 12 children, nine of whom are still living. He came to Nebraska and settled in Thayer county in 1882 and came to Jefferson county in 1895, where his wife died Aug. 10, 1905.

Those who survive him are four brothers, two of whom were present at the funeral, J.H. and J.C. Dunbar of White Lake, S.D. and the children, Mrs. Rhoda Rienecka of Fairbury; Eliza J. Gaston, of Hubbell, Rachel A. Wilson, Mullen, Nebr., Katie Mahoney, Fairbury, Cora M. Gaston, Hebron, Taylor Dunbar, Dunwell, Ray Allen, Hecla Killham Dunbar, Dunwell - all of whom were present at the funeral.

Mr. Dunbar was from his youth a member of the Christian church. The services were held from the Silver Creek church of Christ and were conducted by Thos. A. Maxwell, pastor of the Fairbury Christian church. The interment was in the church cemetery.

Last Saturday, Feb. 3d, friends of Wm. Dunbar were shocked to hear of his death. Mr. Dunbar came here a couple of weeks ago to visit his daughters, Mrs. Mahoney and Mrs. Rhinecke and old neighbors, altho he had been in poor health for a week, he was feeling better that day and was sitting in a chair reading when the end came. He was a former resident here having moved to Dunwell, Nebr about five years ago. Many gathered at the Silver Creek church, where the funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. and interment at the cemetery there, where his wife and son, Frank are buried. Relatives from a distance, who attended the funeral were Taylor and Killem Dunbar; Mrs. Geo. Allen and husband; Mrs. Rachael Wilson and son Morris from Dunwell, Nebr.; Mr. And Mrs. Frank Gaston, Hebron; Mr and Mrs. Wm. Gaston, Hubbell, James and Jo---- Dunbar, brother; White Lake, S. Dak and Chester Orr, College View, Nebr.
