Paster Resigns
Rev.
L. P. Bush, for two or three years
pastor of the Christian church here,
but who recently resigned, has
removed, with his family from Tecumseh
to Bethany. He will reside
there until he enters upon another
pastorate. This estimable
family will be sadly missed by its
many friends.

Milling
Plant for Cook
Work
has commenced on the tearing down,
preparatory to removal, of the large
milling plant
at
Grant, Perkins County.
The
property will be shipped to Cook,
this county, and re-erected. A
new company has been
organized
which will operate the plant in
Cook.
Manager
F. W. Lehrack says the building
when loaded ready for shipment will
fill twenty cars.
The
mill has been idle in the western
town for three years owing to a
scarcity of grain, hence the
removal.

Changing
the Roadbed
The
Burlington Railroad company is considering
the advisability of making slight
moves in its roadbed
at two or three points between Table
Rock and this city; along the Nemaha
River. The
stream has continually worked upon
the bed at these places for some
time and high waters
have resulted in much damage.
A
corps of the company's engineers
and surveryors have just finished
an examination of the road at
the points mentioned and it is quite
probable that the work of improvement
will soon follow.
