Richardson's Pioneers

Verdon, Nebraska, Feb. 5. -- The third annual bean soupt and corn bread dinner of the Richardson County Pioneer Society occurred today.

The day was pleasant, the roads good and over 600 of the pioneers of the county were present and partook of the meal that reminded them of bysone days.

Large delegations from Stella, Shubert, Barada, Falls City and Salem were present. After the dinner and impromptu program of music and speeches were rendered and the following officers elected to the ensuing year:

President, A. B. Foutch

Secretary, W. H. Mark

Treasurer, Fred D. Howe

Historian, W. H. Stowell.

Everyone went home well pleased.
