Oriental Funeral for Jap Resident of Scottsbluff

Special to the Star

Scottsbluff, Nebraska, April 3 --  More than 100 Japanese attended an oriental funeral for Shuji Ikeya, resident of this city many years.

Friday, Ikeya died in Denver where he had been removed after being ill her several weeks.

Ikeya came here several years ago, a young man from Japan.  He worked for Milton Ito, another Japanese who had established himself in business here.  Ikeya saved his money and finally sent to Japan for his wife and son.  The family worked hard and soon became possessed of considerable wealth.

A few weeks ago, Ikeya became sick.  He was cared for in the Midwest hospital here and then moved to Denver.
