State Industrial Home
Milford, Nebraska, December 14 – (Special To The
Herald)
The workmen are finishing the interior of the State
Industrial Home for the Fallen Women, and it will be turned overt to the board
of public lands an buildings about the 1st of January.
It is a fine brick building, situated on the hill about half
a mile east of Milford. The exterior is very prepossessing in
appearance, being trimmed and finished with as much care as many elegant
residence buildings. From its porches
and windows is a beautiful view of the Blue Valley
for a distance of from twenty to thirty miles, and the grove on the grounds
will be a pleasant place in summer time.
The building is five stories high and is fitted throughout
with all the conveniences usual to such buildings—steam heating, baths, etc.
