Our goal? To transcribe and post genealogical data so researchers can find their families anywhere in the United States. And, it is all FREE for your use! You, too, can be of help in this endeavor. If you have any material for the counties please send it to the county host or the state host.

In 1854 this area was admitted to the Utah Territory
On March 2, 1861 the Territory of Nevada was established. That was when the name Nevada was adopted.
Nevada is a Spanish word meaning “snow-capped.”
October 31, 1864 Nevada was admitted as the 36th State.
The State Capital is Carson City.
