Dean Conant died at Charlestown Mayl3, 1835. He was clerk in Aaron Dean's store. The
Evangelical Congregational church was organized at the house of Mr. Conant. After the marriage
of her daughter to Dr. E. C. Worcester she resided at Thetford.

Nathaniel Challis and his wife Dolly came to Charlestown, NH as early as 1817. He d. 1855 age 94. She d. 1826 age 58. Benjamin Challis, son of Nathaniel Challis m. Nancy Conant on Oct 8, 1825 and d. Nov 12, 1854 aged 64. Their children:

l. S. Britania Challis d. 1833 age 5 yrs.
2. Alma Ann Challis d. 1833 age 2 yrs.
3. Frances Challis
4. Sally Challis.

Capt. Benjamin Challis was 3d selectman in 1840-1841 and 1st in 1842 and a rep in 1843-44.
