Fort Sumner 1943
Vicinity of Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
Passing through a small town on the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railroad in the Pecos River Valley
in route to Vaughn, New Mexico in March 1943.

Form on February 28, 1917 from parts of Chaves and Guadalupe Counties.

Interesting Fact: Outlaw Billy the Kid was killed and buried in Fort Sumner
