Hot Dog Relish 4 cup diced, tiny onions 4 c ground, tiny green tomatoes 6 sweet red peppers 4 c cabbage and 12 green peppers 1/2 t salt Grind all ingredients with coarse blades, Cover with salt, sit overnight, drain and rinse cover with: 6 cup sugar 2c water 1 Tbs celery seed 4 c vinegar 2 Tbs mustard seed 1 1/2 tsp turmeric simmer 3 minutes, seal , airtight jars, makes 8 pints Submitted by: Karen Ayers Weir |
