January 18, 1882 - "Uncle"
Charles Ludlam, a prominent citizen of Dennisville, in this county, now a hale old gentleman in the 85th year of
his age, on one occasion in his young manhood days tramped on foot from Louisville, Ky., to Baltimore, Md., a distance
of 600 miles. "Uncle Charlie" is good on the walk yet.
