Elk Services in Honor of the Dead
Impressive Ceremonies in Camden Theatre Where Former Governor Stokes Was Orator

Unusually impressive were the services held yesterday afternoon in connection with the annual memorial services of Camden Lodge, No. 293, B. P. 0. E., in the Camden Theatre. Several hundred representative citizens along with the relatives and friends of the departed, filled the auditorium to overflowing.

One of the features of the occasion was the arrangement in connection with the calling of the roll of the dead. As esteemed Lecturing Knight James Long read the names incandescent lights we extinguished in a huge cross covered with smilax. At the same time lights illumined a great crown of gold suspended above.

Former Governor Edward C. Stokes was the orator, and he gave an eloquent address bearing on the principles of the order. Vocal selections were given by La I'avorita Quartet, including Julia Robinson, soprano; Katherine Fosenkranz contralto; Anthony D. McNichol, tenor, and Henry Hotz, bass. The invocation was given by Rev. A. G. Buxton, rector of St. John's P. E. Church.

There were fifty-eight "departed brothers" for whom the services were held. They included the following:
