Death of an Ex-Slave
An ex-slave named DENISON, who had been employed at Taylor's Hotel, Jersey City, died at the Hudson County, Alms-house, on Snake Hill a few days since. At the request of the dying man, a lunatic named Nelson, wrote the following will:

Aug. 8, 1865 - I, Aaron DENSION of Hudson County Alms-house, State of New Jersey, but a native born of Newbern, Carroll County, State of North Carolinas, where I lived as a slave until the spring of 1860, from whence I came to these parts, make and declare this my last will and testament; I leave to Mr. Nelson ROLLINS, who has been attending me, one coat, one pair of pantaloons, one neck tie, one vest, bosom and collars, together with three shirts, one black hat and the ring on my finger, his mark ---- Aaron Dension

In presence of Mr. R. Nelson, mark ---This includes the trunk with its contents.
