Will Of James VanNote of Adelphia, Howell Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey 1860
First, I give to my son John's children , being my grandchildren , two hundred dollars to be divided among them,
share and share alike.
2nd .It is my will that my son Cornelius VanNote have two hundred dollars.
3rd. And to the children of my son Jacob VanNote, my lawful grandchildren, two hundred dollars, to be divided among
them, share and share alike.
4th. It is my will that my son Robert , if living, have two hundred dollars and if dead, the money to be divided
among my three daughters, share alike.
5th.It is my wish that my daughter Elizabeth Stillwell, have three hundred dollars.
6th.It is my will that my daughter Lois have my cow and pig and the bed and bedding for her own use all the days
of her life.
7th, It is my will and wish that I do give to Jedidah Stillwell, and Lois Stillwell, my widowed daughters to them
solely for their kindness to me and for their patience in waiting on me and the many comforts I have received from
them , it is my will that they have the balance of money from the sale of all my property which will remain in
my executors hands after paying my funeral expenses and debts and legacies I have noted to this my last will----

Son Cornelius appealed this will but his appeal was rejected.

Upper Freehold, Gentleman, signed 22 December 1747 and proved 7 November 1750, mentioned:
(1) John COX, son of my son Thomas, decsd, at 21 a legacy (2) Mary COX "so lately called, but now married"
and (3) Ann COX ("both daughters of my son Thomas") (4) son, John COX, heirs land (5) son, Joseph COX,
heirs land (6) daughter, Elizabeth, heirs land (7) four daughters of "my late dec'd daughter Anna JEWELL"
(8) grandson, James COX (9) five daughters, Elizabeth, Alice, Rachel, Dorothy, and Rebecca He reserved ground where
his wife and "others of my family lyes buried for a burying ground forever." His apparel was to be divided
between three sons, James, John, and Joseph COX Executors: sons, John and Joseph and my kinsman, Thomas COX Witnesses:
