CAMERON MILLS.
     F. French has sold his farm consisting of 123 acres to G. Gunderman; consideration $3,600....M. Herbert is moving in a tenant house of John Selleck's......G. Shoot is soon to build an addition to the house on the lot recently bought of M. Herbert....Wm. Havens is moving from the Harrington house into the Gobie house.....H. P. Jack has just returned home from Baltimore Medical College.....Ed Bailey had the misfortune to hurt one of his horses very badly the other day while moving stumps to the fence. The horse stepped on a stick with the forward foot, which caused the stick to spring or fly up and penetrate the flesh to the thigh bone, making an ugly wound...March 24th, 1890.

1899

CAMERON MILLS.
     The milk brought to this station daily in tin cans is about eight hundred pounds. The price has been raised from three to five cents per quart.
     Rado Lernes, who has been very ill with typhoid fever and under the care of Drs. Hubbs of Addison and Stewart of Cameron, is gaining and his ultimate recovery is assured.
     Miss Hannah Watts received word Sunday of the dangerous illness of her brother, Robert Watts, at West Cameron. Miss Watts left here immediately on receipt of the telegram.

CAMERON.
     - George Scutt and wife were in Cameron Mills Sunday.
     - Oren Jones and wife were callers at Freeman Nolton's Sunday.
     - Joe Fairbanks of Hornell called on friends at the Swale Sunday.
     - Israel Jones and wife and niece, Alice, spent Sunday at Mt. Hope farm.
     - Oren Jones and wife were callers Sunday at their daughters Mrs. Roe
     - Soloman Wilarick and wife of Woodhull spent Sunday at the old home, the meadows at Cameron.
     - Farm help is so scare that a farmer has got to have a small fortune invested in machinery in order to run a farm.
     - Robert Stuart was at the pump station near Cameron Mills buying grass seed and bought a new grain drill.
     - Mrs. John Armstrong of West Cameron was a pleasant caller on her daughter, Mrs. Walter Loghry Saturday.
     - The Swale tiger has made his appearance again. Daniel Austin turned his horse out to pasture, one sight of the tiger made it quake, one bound a snort and all was over, causing acute heart failure. Hard loss this time of the year.

     Elizabeth O'Connor closed her school here last week on account of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth O'Connor of Cameron Mills.

     W. W. Barrett is some better at this writing.
     An airplane passed over this place Wednesday before noon.
     Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Chase were in Cameron Friday afternoon.
     Dinah Beebe is spending the week with Mrs. Gregory on Bonnie hill.
     George Knapp was a business visitor in Cameron Friday morning.

     C. E. Roosa was in Canisteo on business recently.
     Miss Mabel Barrows visited Mrs. A. Williams recently.
     Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White were in Bath Wednesday.
     Ralph Chase has been doing some work for Wheeler Bros.
     Mrs. Alice Williams and Mrs. Carrie Roosa were in Canisteo Friday.
     Charles Withey sr., was in Cameron on business Tuesday evening.
     Mr. and Mrs. Walter Angel and 2 children were Sunday visitors at Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Williams'.
     Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Myhers and children Adelia and Ross of Cameron visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Roosa Sunday.
     Among those that were in Cameron Wednesday were Stacy Emerson, James Farrand, William Clement, B. Graham, Wheeler Bros., Byron Roosa, George Knapp and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Barrett.
