OUDERKIRK - PLOSS
     A pretty home wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley H. Ploss at noon on Friday, July 5, when their daughter, Pearl E. Ploss and J. Cleveland Ouderkirk jr., were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. P. Trowbridge, pastor of the Spencer M. E. church of Hornell.
     The bride is one of the most charming and accomplished young ladies of Jasper. She is a graduate from Canisteo Academy and the Geneseo normal school. She is a successful teacher in the public schools of Orange, N.J. Mr. Ouderkirk is the Kansas state agent for the F. A. Owen publishing company of Dansville. After their wedding trip which will include the Catskills, Lakes George and Champlain and the Thousand Islands by motor, they will take up their residence at Topeka, Kan. Many friends in this community extend congratulations.

JASPER:  On January 2, Miss Nettie A. Powers, adopted daughter of Mr. Peter Drake and Johnathan E. Schenck were married at the residence of Mr. Drake. At the same time and place Miss Cora Scribner daughter of Rev. Walter A. Scribner and Albert Dennis were married. Rev. M. F. Moshier officiated.
