| MARRIAGES. In Steuben, N. Y., Sept. 26, at the residence of the brides father, by Rev. N. G. Luke, Pastor of the Methodist Church, Titusville, Pa., Mr. Henry H. Locke, and Miss Mattie H. Waid. Vermont Chronicle (Bellows Falls, VT) Saturday, October 20, 1866; pg. 4; Issue 42; col. D. MARRIED. In Janesville, on the 8th inst., by Wm. Truesdell, Esq., at the residence of Mr. Rodney Eaton, Mr. JOHN WHEELER, of Bath, Steuben Co., N.Y., to Miss EMILY E. WAIT, from the same place. Milwaukee Sentinel and Gazette (Milwaukee, WI) Saturday, January 12, 1850; Issue 224; col. F. Shea-Walrath. A very pretty home wedding took place at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 9, when Miss Lena Walrath was united in marriage to A. Melvin Shea, formerly of Hornell. The wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson Smith. The Rev. F. C. House of Ulysses, Pa., an uncle of the bride, officiated, assisted by Rev. Thos. Walker of the Jasper M. E. church. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Audrie VanKuren of Towanda, Pa., and Robert Goff of Hornell. The ring service was used. Miss Ruth Walrath played the wedding march, and Miss Hazel Shea, a sister of the groom sang, "Oh Promise Me." The bride was attired in white silk crepe trimmed with white satin, and carried a bouzuet of white rosebuds. The bridesmaid's dress was of pink taffeta silk and she carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds. After the ceremony a five course wedding dinner was served. The table decorations were white carnations and ferns. The bride is a popular and highly respected young lady of this village. The groom is the son of D. A. Shea of Hornell. Mr. and Mrs. Shea left Wednesday afternoon for Hornell, thence to South Somerville, N. J., where they will begin housekeeping at once. Among those from out of town who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Shea, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. House, Mrs. G. H. Robinson, W. G. Stevens, C. H. Young and Miss Agnes Young of Hornell, Mrs. L. FLAHIVE - WELCH At the Presbyterian manse on Thursday, November 9, John Flahive of Canisteo Center and Miss Anna Candice Welch of Cameron Mills were married by Rev. H. L. On Tuesday evening, Feb. 12, occurred the marriage of Lavasso Woodward of Greenwood to Alta Case of Jasper. The ceremony was performed at the M. E. Church.
