| Mrs. Anna E. Laine Mrs. Anna Eliza Laine, 66 years old, widow of the late George Laine, died Saturday at the home of her son, Mead Freeland. Maple and Seneca streets, Hornell. She was born in Bath, resided in Greenwood many years and was a lifelong resident of the county. The son is the only immediate survivor. Funeral services were held from Williams' funeral home, Canisteo, Monday afternoon. The body was taken to Greenwood for interment. Canisteo Times (Canisteo, NY) January 5, 1929. MRS. ELIZABETH AGNES LENT. Mrs. Elizabeth Agnes Lent of this place, aged 69 years, died Saturday night at the home of her son, Robert Lent, in Hornell, where she had been spending the winter. Mrs. Lent was born in Waterloo, N.Y., but moved to this place at an early age and has since made her home here. She was a member of the Jasper Presbyterian church for over fifty years. Mrs. Lent was possessed of a fine Christian character. She was a kind neighbor and a faithful friend. The news of her death brings sorrow to the hearts of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. She is survived by three sons, Harry of Scottsburg, Edward and Robert of Hornell, and one sister, Mrs. William Tubbs of Turtle Point, Pa. Services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 at No. 17 Wells street, Hornell, and from the Presbyterian Church in this place at 2 p.m., Rev. G. A. Wilkinson officiating. His friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, this afternoon, at two o'clock, from No. 212 Rivington street. - Steuben county papers please copy. DEATH. At his residence in Lindsleytown, Steuben county, New York, on the 29th June, Captain WILLIAM LINDSLEY, in the fifty-sixth year of his age, leaving a large family and many friends to lament his loss. He was a grandson of the late Colonel Lindsley, of the New Jersey line of the army of the Revolution, and brother to A. B. and E. Lindsley, of this city.
