| Lima Daily News Jan 6, 1916 Abraham W. Hunsaker, 58 years of age, of Marion township, 9 miles west of this city, dropped dead at his home at 7 o'clock from heart failure. Mr. Hunsaker was butchering and about his daily work, when death came to him. He was a farmer, and leaves to mourn his sudden demise a wife, one sister, Mrs. D. Davis of Parsens, Kansas; three brothers, Jacob, Caleb and Joshua, who reside on farms near that of their brother. Funeral services will be held on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, at Salem church, with Rev. Hartley officiating. Interment will be made in Salem cemetery. Lima Daily News James Anderson, 74 years and 10 days of age, died this morning at ?: 15 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Irwin Streeter, of 347 Laney avenue, following an illness of three years from tuberculosis. He was born in Ross county and lived for some years in Columbus Grove. Since his daughter moved to Lima, he has lived with the family here. He was a civil war veteran and a member of the First Ohio Calvary. He served three years and nine months in the war. He was a member of Oglevie post, Grand Army of the Republic, at Columbus Grove. Surviving are the following children; James Anderson, Hugh Anderson, Miss Irene Anderson and Mrs. Streeter, at whose home he died, all of Lima, J. T. Anderson, of Columbus Grove, and Charles Anderson of Muncie, Ind. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Streeter home. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Lima News Edward Frederick Mooney, 14, son of Mr. and mrs. Patrick Mooney of 522 W. Third-st died Sunday night. He never recovered from the effects of influenza in 1918. Funeral services Wednesday at 9 o'clock from St. John's Catholic church. Interment in Gethsemani cemetery. Besides the parents, he is survived by five sisters and three brothers. 76, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. R.
Harrod, Elida. Lima Daily News Mrs.Louisa Leise, passed away at the city hospital Monday at 2:45 from paralysis, altho she had been a sufferer for two years she bore her affliction with patience. Her former husband Frank Springer, preceded her in to the grave in 1911, two daughters also preceded her into that heavenly Home. She leaves Michael and Henry Springer of this city and Mrs. Melvin Wetheral of Fostoria; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; her husband Jacob Leise; George, Arthur, Waldo, Herman and one daughter, Freda. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Fink, Mrs. George Wollet of this city, Mrs. Sistler of Spencerville; three brothers, Jacob Shaffer of this city; William and Samuel Shaffer of Sidney; besides a host of friends. She has been a resident of this city for the past 45 years. Funeral services will be held from Zion's Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Shawnee cemetery. Lima News Mrs. Mary Harnishfager, 52, wife of Henry Harnishfager, Bath-tp, died at St. Rita's hospital Wednesday night after an illness of eight months from dropsy. She was born in Germany. Mrs. Harnishfager came to the United States in August 1891, and was married in November, 1894. She came to Allen-co with her husband following their marriage and has resided since on the Bath-tp farm. She was Mary Louck before her marriage in Dayton. Surviving besides the
husband, are eight sons and a daughter. They are Fred, Charles, Hannah,
Henry Jr., William, Joseph, Frank, Theodore and John Harnishfager.
Funeral services Saturday at 8:30 o'clock at St. Gerard's Catholic
church. Interment at Gethsemani cemetery. Lima News Funeral of Martin L. Coon, 82,
retired Amanda-tp farmer, who died at 11 p.m. Sunday in the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Edward Ulz, 776 Weadock-av, will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at St. Matthew's Church. The Rev. Lee Burchin will be in
charge. Burial in St. Matthew's cemetery. Mr. Coon was born and spent
most of his life in Amanda-tp. besides Mrs. Ulz, he is survived by
another daughter, Mrs. Ella Hartman, also of Lima, a sister, Mrs.
Lizzie Eley, of near Wapakoneta, and three brothers, Oren, Albert
and Charles all of Lima, Route 1. Umbaugh funeral home is in charge. Funeral of Charles M. Githens, 73, of Lima, Rt.
2., who died Saturday in Memorial hospital after a three month's
illness, was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ash Grove Dunkard church.
Burial was in Ash Grove cemetery. Mr. Githens, a farmer, was born in
Warren. He is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mrs. B. H. Bice,
Mrs. James Hensley, Mrs. Kenneth Weaver, Mrs. Lymon Means, all of Lima
and Mrs. Hershal Briggs, of Lima, Rt. 2; four sons, Clyde R. of Route
3, Glen B. , Earl A., and Cloyd, all of Lima; three sisters, Mrs. Clara
Long, of Jamestowm; Mrs. Robert Free and Mrs. Harry Gillman, both of
Dayton and 22 grandchildren. Davis, Miller and Son were in charge of

Daily News James Pearl, 87, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edward Cartwright, Wayne street and Central avenue, Wednesday. He had been in ill health for seven months due to complications of diseases and age. He was the grandfather of Mrs. Eugene Christen, 416 north West street. Mrs. Doyle is another surviving daughter. Daily News Mrs. F. F. Mason, 82, died at her home in Dubuque, Iowa, according to word received here Thursday. Ahe was a former Lima resident. Daily News William G. Roberts, colored, veteran of the Civil war, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Curtis, 714 S. Union-st, Saturday night. He had been ill for some months. Death was due to general debility. He was born in Putman Co., Georgia in 1845 to Green and Phylis Roberts. Besides Mrs. Curtis, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Josie Buckingham, South Bend, Ind. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 o'clock at the residence of Mrs. Curtis. Daily News Clement Marcus Hixenbaugh, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Hixenbaugh, Shawnee-tp, died at his home, Wednesday night after an illness of two weeks from pneumonia. He was born in Shawnee-tp and was attending Lima High school. Surviving are the parents, six sisters and four brothers. Funeral services at 2 o'clock at the residence. Rev. E. B.
