Gomer-
Thomas O. Morgan, 78,
lifelong resident of this vicinity, died Monday at his home of a
cerebral hemorrhage. A native of Gomer. Morgan is survived by a son
John, of Gomer; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Whiteus and Miss Dollie
Morgan both of Lima; Mrs. Ida Beck of Detroit; Mrs. Dorothy Jones of
Columbus Grove and mrs. Bess Rager, of Gomer, a brother William of
Gomer; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be
held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Congregational Christian church here with
Rev. Clarence J. Bradbury, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in
Tawelfan cemetery. The body will be removed from the Jones funeral
home, McComb, to the residence in Gomer to remain until time of
services.

Private funeral of Rufus
Schaublin, 45, of Lima, who died Friday morning in St. Rita's
hospital, were held Saturday afternoon at the Davis-Miller and Son
mortuary. The Rev. Rebuen J. Schroer was in charge. Burial was in
Memorial Park cemetery. Schaublin, carpenter contractor, was a member
of the First Evangelical Reformed church.

Israel J. Clarke, 85,
of Perry-tp, died Sunday night at his home following a lingering
illness. The only survivor is the widow, Rana.
Funeral services will be held
at the home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. E.J. Penhorwood
officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery with the Siferd
funeral home in charge.

Mrs. Joseph Clapper,
66, long time Allen-co resident died at 1 a.m. Monday in her home. She
was born southeast of Delphos, but had resided in Allen-co all her
life. Mrs. Clapper was a member of the Elida United Brethren church.
Surviving are her husband and two brothers William Neely, of near
Delphos, and Frank Neely, of Spencerville.Last rites will be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday in the Elida United Brethren church. Burial will be in
Walnut Grove cemetery. The body has been taken from the Paul Harter
mortuary to the residence.

Marion Goodwin, 86,
retired grocer, died at 8 a.m. Saturday at his home after a week's
illness. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Fern Goodwin, at home,
and Mrs. Harold Fisher of Lima, and a half sister, Mrs. Elizabeth
Roller of Elgin and a grandchild.The body will be removed Saturday
afternoon from the David Miller and Son funeral home to the residence,
where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. E.J.A. St. Louis,
pastor of the Grace Methodist church, of which he was a member, will
officiate. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery.

William Ferguson, 56,
of Lima, Allen-co farmer for the last seven years, died at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday at his home.He is survived by his wife Mattie; two sisters,
Mrs. Ella McKenzie of Lakeview, Iowa, and Mrs. Etta Cunningham of Sioux
City, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at the Lewis funeral home with
Rev. John L. White, of the epworth Methodist church officiating. Burial
in Memorial Park cemetery.

Harmon Winkle, elderly
Harrod resident, was found dead in his home by Lorenzo Morris and W.D.
Carey, neighbors. Coroner Harry Lewis said he apparently died of a
heart attack early in the day while fixing the fire.The coroner said
the body was found by the stove and altho the fire was out, one side of
Mr. Winkle's face was seared.Coroner Lewis removed the body to the
Lewis funeral home pending arrangements of final rites.The man had no
known close relatives.

Bert Cloore, 71,
retired farmer who resided northwest of Lafayette was found dead in bed
Tuesday morning, following a heart attack.Surviving is his widow,
Louise; two daughters, Mrs. Fay Holder of Compton, Calif., and Mrs.
Margaret Robinolt of Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Belle Heath of Lafayette
and one grandchild.He was a member of the Lafayette Christian church
and the Lima Borrowed Time club. He had been a lifelong resident of the
Lafayette area.Body will be removed from the Lantz and Sousley funeral
home in Ada to the family home Wednesday noon.Funeral services will be
in the Lafayette Christian church, followed by burial in Lafayette
cemetery.

Miss Carrie Todd, 67 of 113
1/2 E. North-st died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday in Memorial hospital
following an illness of 10 days. Born in Lima, Miss Todd had lived in
this vicinity all her life. She was a retired employee of the R .T.
Gregg and Son department store, and a member of Trinity Methodist
church.Surviving are two brothers, James of Aurora, Ill, and John of
Columbus.Services will be held in the Davis Miller and Son Cathedral
chapel at a time to be announced with Rev. J. Ira Jones, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. The body will remain at the
funeral home.

son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boyd, died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday in St. Rita's
hospital where he had been a patient several weeks. The body will

Harry H. Grafton, 75, 523 Holmes-
av, retired oil man, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday at his home following
an illness since last October. Born in Cass-co, Mo., he had lived in
Lima since he was 18 years of age and retired from the Solar Refinery
after 25 years of service. He was a charter member of the local Moose
lodge .Surviving are his widow, Ella; one son Donald Jack Wisher at
home, two brothers James and Park both of Lima; one sister, Mrs. Nora
Martin, Lima. The body will remain at the Davis Miller and Son funeral
home for services at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the cathedral chapel with
Rev. C. F. Fogle officiating. Burial in Shawnee cemetery.

Kenneth W. Phillips,
78, formerly of 845 N. Metcalf St., died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday in
Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
Born Dec. 8, 1900, in Marion Township, Allen County, he was the son of
Charles and Myrtle E (Alspaugh) Phillips.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of
World War II. He was a retired employee of Clark Equipment Co.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Harter and Son Memorial Chapel,
Delphos, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

John E. Roberson, 82,
a retired carpenter, died Sunday at his home, after an illness of six
months.He is survived by three sons, Raymond and O.D. of Detroit, and
H.C. with whom he resided, and a daughter, Mrs. Cora Donor of College
Corner.The body was removed Sunday from the Davis, Miller and Son
funeral to a funeral home in College Corner, where services will be
held. Burial will be in Bath-tp, Franklin-co, Ind.

Roof, 70, of Allentown, died Thursday afternoon at his residence where
he had been ill since suffering a stroke 18 days ago. He had been a
resident of Allen-co 35 years, and was a member of the Modern Woodmen
and the Epworth Methodist church. Mr. Roof is survived by his wife,
Molly; a son William H. of Lima; a brother Albert of Anderson,
Ind. two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be
held at 2 p.m. Saturday at 625 Madison-av, with Rev. James Shady
officiating. Burial in Memorial Park cemetery.

widely known Lima resident, died at her home, after an illness of four
months. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic church and had been a
resident of Lima for 22 years.Surviving are her husband, Frank; a
daughter, Mrs. Mary Santaguida of Lima; five grandchildren, a brother
and sister in her native Italy.Requiem high mass will be selebrated at
St. John church Monday morning at a time to be announced. Rev. Albert
A. Fate, pastor, will conduct the rites. Burial in Gethsemani cemetery.

Contris, 50, of Lafayette, widely known stock buyer who died Sunday
in Memorial hospital, were to be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
Christian church, Lafayette. Rev. A. J. Black, Methodist pastor and
Rev. J.C. Guthrie of the Church of the Brethren, were to conduct the
rites. Burial will be in Lafayette cemetery.

Mrs. Bessie Frazier Simon,
59, of 301 N. Clark-st died at 12:08 p.m. Thursday in her home
following an illness of 15 months. A resident of Lima for 35 years, she
was born Aug. 15, 1880, in Nevada, O. Surviving are her husband,
Adolph, one brother William Miller, of Coffeyville, Kas., one nephew,
William Miller, Jr., Chicago, two nieces, Mrs. J. A. Keller and Miss
Reva Miller both of Coffeyville. Rev. charles H. Rasel will conduct
services at 10 a.m. Monday in the Lewis Memorial chapel. Burial will be
in Shawnee cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until
time of services.

Funeral services for L .B.
Miller, 81, who died at his home here Tuesday after an illness of six
weeks, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian church in
Harrod with Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Salem
cemetery with the Hanson funeral home in Alger in charge of
arrangements. the body was to be removed from the funeral home to the
residence at 1 p.m. Thursday.Pallbearers will be Mark Leatherman, Elza
McClure, Burl Turner, Sam Burke, Clyde Hay and Rush White. Honorary
pallbearers will be Dr. M. L. Johnston, J. A. Leatherman, William S.

Mrs. Nellie Larson, 85, of
No.4 Rowland Row, died Sunday afternoon in St. Rita's hospital,
following an extended illness.A native of Denmark, Mrs. Larson came to
the United States nearly 65 years ago, and had lived in Lima for the
past 35 years. Surviving are two sons, Lewis of Florida and Harry of
Oceana, Va., two daughters, Mrs. Fred Smith of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs.
Hattie Lindsey of Lima; five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Lewis Memorial chapel
with Rev. Willard Thomas, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park
cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mary Pickett, 82, died
Sunday night at her home on Ewing ave. She was born in Ireland and came
to America in childhood. She located in Lima, forty-two years ago and
since that time has made her home with her nieces, Misses Mary and
Margaret Burke. For the past nine years Mrs. Pickett has been an
invalid. The two nieces have cared for her. They are her only surviving
relatives. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Rose Catholic
church, Wednesday morning. Interment in Gethsemani cemetery.
